Orthotic Thongs for Men
At Footlogics we have a range of mens thongs available. Some made with leather-covered footbed, other styles are waterproof. They all feature our ‘trademark’ Footlogics arch support and a cushioning footbed. Effective for people suffering from flat feet, fallen arches, plantar fasciitis and other common foot complaints.
Purchasing a new pair of sandals or flip-flops may be in order now that the temperature has risen. However, you shouldn’t go out and get any old pair. There is a dearth of high-quality, well-designed sandals available in Australia.
Footlogics thongs are built to last and cool your feet on hot days. Our Zullaz range is constructed from long-lasting materials including leather, suede, and micro-fibre fabric. They have a sturdy rubber outsole for superior traction and durability. Footlogics thongs are constructed with a biomechanical arch support and a deep heel cup. These sandals are long-lasting, easy to clean, and smooth; they are perfect for a day at the beach.
Our sandals for both men and women are long-lasting and well-made, and they don’t break the bank! The shoes are not only reasonably priced and fashionable, but also sturdy and long-lasting.
A flip-flop or thong is a type of sandal in which the arch is normally not significantly supported. Featuring a thin, floppy sole with a Y-shape strap that ties to our feet, men’s flip flops are usually utilised for fast beach trips, in-and-out errands, or at-home lounging. We usually settle for a pair of rubber thong slippers from the discount section of a drugstore. In other words, men’s flip flops aren’t built for long distance slogs.
Why arch support is so important
Flip flops stimulate your toes to scrunch up or, medically speaking, your flexor tendons to constrict. The toes grasp while the heel lifts, putting an abnormal amount of pressure on the plantar fascia and increasing the risk of developing plantar fasciitis (severe heel pain). Wearing thin-soled sandals over long distances increases the risk of foot ailments like hammertoes. The secret to wearing thongs for extended durations is choosing a pair with arch support.
Without some level of arch support to prevent excess pronation, ligaments and tendons are at risk for stress and strain. However, this is important information if you plan on giving up flip-flops for the summer. Nowadays, a few forward-thinking footwear designers have injected men’s flip flops with exceptionally comfortable arch support so you may wear them all day long this spring and summer without hurting your feet. Thongs without any medial support are not a good idea.
